Personal Accountability

Educating Every Child Board members are held accountable not only for the outcomes of the organization as a whole, but for their participation and contributions as individuals. In addition to receiving and reviewing regular documentation sent from Ghana, EEC Board members conduct periodic site visits. These trips are an important part of the accountability process. EEC Board members, who travel at their own expenses, meet with GOVA board members to review all records and policies. In addition, special meetings are held between the EEC board members and the GOVA committee that selects scholarship recipients to discuss the procedures used to select scholarship recipients. Finally, whenever possible, the EEC Board meets with scholarship recipients to see firsthand the impact EEC has on these young girls’ lives.
